Loom Narrative
Who I Am
I’m Natali Simmonds – author, lecturer, and storytelling consultant.
For over twenty-five years I’ve worked with stories in different forms: marketing and branding, publishing, film and television, education, and cultural partnerships. I’ve had thirteen novels published, taught storytelling at film and writing academies, worked in advertising and magazines, and I’m currently Head of Partnership Development for the London Latino Film Festival. One of my books is also being adapted for television, where I’m an executive producer.
Across all of that work, one thing has remained constant: stories are how we make sense of complexity. They shape how we interpret challenge, how we present ourselves, and how others understand us.
Loom Narrative brings that understanding into a business and leadership context, helping leaders communicate with clarity, confidence, and credibility.
What I Do
I work with leaders, teams, and organisations who want to strengthen how they communicate change, navigate challenge, and articulate who they are, both individually and collectively.
My work sits at the intersection of:
-
Storytelling and narrative thinking
-
Leadership presence and resilience
-
Brand clarity and professional identity
I’m not here to show you how to polish messages or teach you clever presentation tricks. My workshops are about understanding the stories already at play and learning how to reshape them so they support better decision-making, influence, and trust.
Working with Natali has been an absolute joy. For me, her special effect is the ‘NS Bounce’ – that extra explosion of creativity that interacting with her brings. Be it a social impact story or a strategic marketing decision that needs brand testing, there’s just something about working with Natali that stretches you to the limit!

The Rejection Rewrite Framework
At the heart of Loom Narrative is The Rejection Rewrite Framework™, a practical, narrative-led approach to working with challenge.
Rejection, criticism, and uncertainty are inevitable in leadership and professional life. What matters is not the event itself, but the story we attach to it.
The framework works through four stages:
Challenge
The moment of friction: rejection, feedback, failure, change, or uncertainty.
Frame
The meaning we instinctively assign to that moment… often quickly, and often harshly.
Rewrite
Consciously reframing the story so it reflects growth, learning, and direction rather than limitation.
Impact
Clearer communication, stronger leadership presence, and a more coherent personal or organisational narrative.
This approach draws directly on how stories function in literature, film, and brand-building, translating those principles into tools leaders can actually use when making decisions in both their careers and personal life.
Who & How
Loom Narrative works particularly well for:
-
Leaders navigating change or increased visibility
-
Teams dealing with feedback, rejection, or organisational shift
-
Founders and senior professionals clarifying their leadership identity
-
Organisations looking to strengthen culture, confidence, and trust
It’s especially valuable for people who are thoughtful, high-performing, and self-aware, but who find that moments of challenge can quietly undermine their confidence or clarity.
I offer:
-
Facilitated workshops for organisations and leadership teams
-
Small-group programmes
-
One-to-one mentoring and executive coaching
Each engagement is tailored, but grounded in the same narrative principles, drawing on my background as a writer, educator, and strategist.
Work with Loom Narrative
A loom is where separate threads are brought together and given structure.
That’s how I see this work: taking experience, challenge, and ambition — and weaving them into a story that supports growth rather than holds it back.
If you’re interested in exploring how narrative can strengthen leadership, resilience, and brand clarity, I’d love to talk.
